Prayer Packing List + Reading Advice

In light of a book on prayer that I’m going through, here are some things I found online to be praying about. I encourage you to really read and pray for these people/events/things:

John Piper’s Leave from Bethlehem
“I asked the elders to consider this leave because of a growing sense that my soul, my marriage, my family, and my ministry-pattern need a reality check from the Holy Spirit. On the one hand, I love my Lord, my wife, my five children and their families first and foremost; and I love my work of preaching and writing and leading Bethlehem. I hope the Lord gives me at least five more years as the pastor for preaching and vision at Bethlehem.”

A Pastor’s Worst Enemy
Here’s a list of things you can be praying for your pastor or pastors in general. It’s shocking to think that our spiritual leaders can be so susceptible to sin. We need to be supporting them in prayer!

“This is LIFE we’re talking about!”
In light of the passing of the healthcare bill, I’m reminded of how much we need to be praying for our country. I’m not advocating any particular side, but there might be interesting implications of the new administration’s decisions.
