MacArthur and Patrick – In case you haven’t heard, there’s some uproar in the blogosphere about some comments made by John MacArthur about Darrin Patrick’s recent book. Check out the response by GTY about what was said and written. This is an important thing for aspiring pastors to read, especially before they decide to church plant (2 links).

Some quotes form the rebuttal, just to clear the air:

Don’t be so thin-skinned. John MacArthur has always tried to separate himself from the message he preaches. If you criticize what John has said, he doesn’t get hurt or offended; he simply points you back to Scripture and asks you to make your case. It’s God’s authority, not John MacArthur’s, that John wants people to recognize when he preaches.

Listen. John has more than fifty years of preaching faithfully, more than forty years in the same pulpit—don’t you think you ought to listen? Don’t despise the older generation; don’t dismiss their wisdom; don’t ignore their criticisms of you.

Put Grip Tape on Your iPhone – Just for fun. As a former skater, I had to pay homage to this very creative idea. I wish you could do this to the HTC Evo. I think all iPhone users should do this.
